A shaft of sunlight, most welcome!

We had a birthday dinner last night for a friend here who is 93 today.

Menu was: Roast Pork Loin (in apple cider), Baked Organic Russet Potatoes, Steamed Broccoli with George’s Dressing; Pumpkin Pie for dessert.

We had a good time, and were happy to have Sam over for dinner to celebrate his continued existence on the planet.

After dinner while I washed the dishes, he and George got into Internet research on the largest diamond in the world (in the British Crown Jewels) and on the population of Germany since 1938 (Sam’s a WWII vet, an Airforce gunner).
